Turn the ignition key to the "ACC" or "LOCK" position with the odometer (not trip meter) reading shown. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the trip meter reset button. Hold down the knob for at least five seconds. The odometer indicates "000,000" and the light should go off.
If you have the smart key in your pocket:
1. Push the "Power" button once.
2. If necessary, push "Odo/Trip" button until odometer is displayed
3. Push "Power" once to shut off.
4. Push and hold "Odo/Trip" button
5. Push "Power" twice whild holding "Odo"
6. The mile digits will turn to dashes and then disappear one by one
7. When it is fully reset, it will change to "000,000", light goes off.
8. Release "Odo" button
9. Push "Power" button off.
10. All Done!

In the United Kingdom the Toyota Auris is the successor to the Toyota Corolla, in other words the Auris is what the Corolla would look like today had Toyota decided not to change the name. Maintenance wise, the Auris and Corolla are both viewed by Toyota as the same car in terms of services and therefore both follow the same maintenance schedules.
