To restart your computer simply remove the positive terminal from the battery for 5 minutes.
turn ignition to first on position and depress gas pedal three times. Start car if light doesn't go off try again.
Look in glove box for button, if none then refer to owners manual Depress the trip reset until it reaches the oil % display - push and hold until it displays 0% - usually 5-6 sec
Have the problem repaired and they will reset the light. If you DIY then disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes. If that does not reset the light you will have to have it reset with an OBD2 scan tool.
hold the engine reset button in until it resets

with the ignition key on but engine off , fully push and release the gas pedal slowly three times with in five seconds
Your owners manual should tell you how to reset the light.

You can try unhooking the battery for 5 min. You may also get it scanned find out what the problem is, get the codes cleared, problem fixed & should be o/k why does 1994 Oldsmobile silhouette keep dying
on the drivers side there is a fuse panel on the dash. there you need to press the reset button once and then your change oil light will blink. then you want to press it again and the low tire pressure light will blink hold the reset button until it beeps and then let go and then press the reset button again and the light should disappear. Hope this helps!
