The PCM can be rest on a 1998 Dodge Stratus by connecting an ODBII code reader. It reads all the information stored in the computer and can directly reset the ECM as needed.
You should be able to reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds. Make sure you have disabled the anti-theft feature on the stock stereo (if so equipped) before disconecting the battery or you will not be able to use your radio. After the PCM has been reset you will need to drive the vehicle in a variety of conditions in order for the PCM to re-learn the proper information.
