You can do it by undoing your battery cable but the best way is to go to advanec auto and they will do it for free.
put tape over lite jtyj
The problem was not fixed with a tune up, or the light is on because it was not reset by the service station.
Remove the negative cable from the battery for a few minutes then re-install
An independent shop will do it for you, but if you fixed something, it may reset itself in a couple days.
Try disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes
disconnect the battery for 10 mins
have vehicle scanned to determine problem and have codes cleared Disconnect the batty for 5 minutes and lite will go out
With a scan too or with a battery disconnect.
one way is to take the ground cable loose from the battery. leave it off for a few mins. or if you have a code tester plug it in and hit erase codes.
After reading the codes, with a scanner. You repair cause of code, and then can reset code with the scanner.
I just unscrew and take both battery cables off the battery for about 15 minutes and put back on. This should reset the engine light. The check engine light should go out. If it doesn't, you have trouble
I have checked the gas cap and pressed the reset button
