2. I then pushed the up arrow button on steering wheel to display service interval. It read 'Service B is due now'.
3. Push reset button (also serves as dasboard dimmer dial) left of temp gauge for several seconds. Service display will then show press for 3 seconds to reset timer. After three seconds with finger on reset button, timer will reset. Mine read 'Service A 13,000 miles'.
The Flexible Service System calculates in both miles and time, how long before you need to service the engines oil. Simply press the mileage button 2 times and you will see this displayed on the dash. The new V8 & V6 motors are equipped with an oil quality sensor connected to the cars, computer system, as well as an oil level indicator. These two sensors as well as sensors from the cars CAN-BUS system feed additional data such as Speed, Engine and Coolant Temperture, Load Factor, RPM, and Engine Oil Temperature. Additional factors, such as operating conditions, stop and go driving, high speed driving, cold starts, and oil usage are also calculated to determine the time/distance between oil changes. If your driving conditions are right, the system may even extend the 10,000 mile service intervals. However, oil is not that expensive, and we not recommend attempting to drive that long on one batch of oil. You cannot damage the engine changing the oil too frequently, however, you can certainly burn out rings, seals, and bearing by not changing your oil regularly. How to Reset the System: This technique has always worked for me, and is exactly as it was mentioned in my owners manuals under FSS so your mileage may vary: Your Key Switch has 4 detents or positions. Position 0 - Locked Wheel - Engine Off
Position 1 - Wheel Unlocked - Engine Off
Position 2 - Wheel Unlocked - Engine On - This is where you normally have the key when driving
Position 3 - Wheel Unlocked - Starter Engaged Now you are going to use the same button, that when pressed twice, displayed your remaining time and mileage. Normally the R button. Get in the car and close the doors. Put your finger on the R button but do not press it yet. Turn your key to the Run (ON) Position, Number 2 from the list. Now Press the R Button 2 times. You will see the number of miles or days remaining for service displayed. Turn the key to the off position within a few seconds. Press and Hold the R Button while turning the key back to the run position (2). Nothing has changed yet - do not panic, keep holding in the R button for 10-15 seconds more, you should hear a beep, and now the see that the system has reset the service interval. Let go of the button and you are all set.

How do you reset a service indicator message on a 2007 Mercedes Benz GL450
A person can reset this indicator by fixing the problem that caused it to go off. They can also use an OBD scanner to clear the codes and the indicator.?æ

How do you reset a e500 mercedes benz drive cycle
The E500 Brake Pad Wear Sensor goes on to the wheel of the 2003 Mercedes E500.
05 Mercedes Benz e500 look for stock amp
Very Carefully.
I have a 2003 e500 i went for a swim with my key, its still working
You cannot - if you are referring to the pad wear indicator light that looks something like a circle with two bukldges on each side. This is not a timed, or mileage related sensor, but it is a wire (costs like3$ from dealer for each wheel) that is designed to create a short as the pad wears through it The car turns ioff the light when the connection is solid
it will cost you from $249-289.
Mercedes decided to come out with all these extra services on the 2003 E class....why? I dont know, just stick to the A and B services and you will be fine, all those extra services are just usually dust filters for the a/c, air filters, minor stuff ect. Which will get replaced with a B service anyways
I called MB today, as I have Service G due on my E500. I was told it was the same as service A..which is an oil change/tune up/lube. All to the tune of $260. I'm pretty sure you can get the same service at Jiffy Lube for $50. Still havn't decided which way I will go yet. Hope this helps.
90K mile service should include either a A or B service, spark plugs will be due at this time also, (if not done before) Transmssion service is every 39k miles Air filters, possible fuel filter, pretty much just all the service type work that has not been performed yet, really need to be performed by this time
