Mine is a 2002 GMC Sierra, but I believe this good for all GM stuff.
Reset the 'change engine oil' light by:
1) Turn ignition on (turn toward dash as if starting - but don't start engine).
2) Depress gas pedal all the way to floor 3 times within about 5-7 seconds.
3) Turn ignition off (or start engine if your going somewhere).
That should do it for about another 5-6000 miles.
You can reset the oil light by scrolling to the oil life display. Once on the display, hold the scroll button in until the oil life goes to 100 percent
When you see the Change Oil light on, push and hold the button just like you would to reset the trip counter
With the ignition key off, press and hold the odometer reset button, and turn the ignition on and do not start the car. In about 2 seconds the light will reset.

You can reset the service light by bringing of the oil life monitor on your display. Hold the scroll button in until the oil life goes to 100 percent. This should reset your service light.

1. Press the STATUS control to access the System Check function. Press RESET to reset the oil %. 2. Press and hold the RESET control to set to 100%. 3. After the successful reset, the message center will display OIL LIFE SET TO 100%. This is how I do it on my 2005 Lincoln LS.
select oil life on the MID then press and hold reset for 10 seconds and oil life will reset to 100%. this is in owner's manual.
You can reset your engine light by bringing the oil life display onto your monitor. Hold the scroll button in until the oil life goes to 100 percent. The engine light should go off.
