None
I have a 1996 GMC Yukon and this happened to me. I would be driving on the highway and all of a sudden the engine would shut off. The fuel filter and then the fuel pump turned out to be my problem.
Nope.
gm products do not have fuel cutoff switches.
To restart a Jaguar after running out of gas, turn the key on and off a few times. Turning the key on will signal the fuel pump to pump gas into the carburetor.
The Owner's Manual will have a diagram of the fuel system in the 1999 GMC Yukon. If you do not have a copy of the owners manual, you can contact GMC and they should be able to resend you a copy.
It is possible that the fuel pump has gone bad. This can happen if a car runs completely out of gas, never go below 1/4 a tank.
Either manually pump fuel into the fuel filter (as in, do this several hundred times), or pour some diesel fuel directly into the fuel filter.
Towards the rear driver's side tire. The fuel pump is in the gas tank. The tank has to be lowered to get to the pump.
All that is required to restart a 2006 Cummins is to add fuel and crank the engine. The fuel system is self bleeding.
Fuel pump running, engine off, 60 to 66 psi.
