Just use vista/7 transformation pack and remove everything including the 3rd party files. Reinstall the transformation pack and uninstall it about three times it actually worked for me for some reason and then i tried it on another computer and it worked.

HOW DO YOU UNINSTALL WINDOWS SEVEN TRANSFORMATION PACK?
- I've tried going to "system32" in "My Computer", there's no file called "viwc.exe"
- Doesn't appear in Add or Remove Programs
- I've tried finding the Welcome Center, I can't find that EITHER!!!
HELP!!!
Due to some bugs in the Vista Transformation Pack software, some instances of it remain installed even after the removal process. The solution is to uncheck these instances in the startup tab of msconfig. exe.
No.
restore it
Vista uses the System Restore utility to both create restore points and to rebuild the system from those restore points.
Most common icons in Vista are embedded as resources in the IMAGERES.DLL and SHELL32.DLL files located in "%WINDIR%\System32". To extract icons from the DLLs and save them as icon files - use a tool like Resource Hacker (ResHacker.exe).
If memory serves, backup and restore in vista requires the RPC process to be running, which doesn't run in safe mode. Your best bet is to reinstall Vista, get it up and running in "normal" mode, then do your restore.
right click and there should be an option to do that
System Protection
Vista has backup and restore just like XP. Open start menu and type backup and restore center.
You should be able to press F11 during start up , this will launch system restore!
