On the desktop, right-click and select "Add panel."
go to the 'menu bar' click 'view', a drop down list appears. in the list, on the second position is 'status bar' click the option and the status bar is retrieved
Beside the menu items you will see an arrow pointing to the right. Just click it and all the folders will appear in each category. There is Library, Recent, Albums, Facebook, and Keepsakes. There is no menu bar on the left. The menu bar which corresponds to iPhoto is on the top of the screen (Left) when you open iPhoto.

Right click in the menu bar (but not on a menu option). Turn off all the ticked items.
