Did it yesterday. See if this makes sense. Both cable wrap around the same spindle, only one cable is wrapped around it at any one time. If I remember right on of the (light blue) plastic pieces which retains the spring rides in a hole, that is, the piece must be fed in the same direction as the cable. The other is more of a slot, meaning the piece can be slid in from the top. Wrap the cable with the hole first, wrap it while compressing the stop spring. The window track should be bottomed out in this direction also. Now without relieving tension put the spindle on the motor shaft. Next install the other cable on the spindle, compress the spring and slide the plastic retainer into the slot. If the first cable is too tight you may have to release some tension. What you want is no slack in the cables when you are done. Btw, were you able to find just the cable as a replacement? If so where? Thanks hope it helps
Forget about it, it came apart because something broke. Buy a replacement assembly from your local auto parts store from Dorman products.
Replace the window regulator, it may come with the motor.
If the cables have failed, the entire regulator needs replaced.
There is no 'loop' feature in the program.
open a window then jump out the window
the easy way is to remove the door panel and cut the regulator cables on both sides of the motor then raise the window and wedge a stick under the window to hold it up
need to know how cables connect on window regulator
Remove the 1997 Chevrolet Suburban drivers side door panel. The window mechanism will be visible. Place the new window into the window track. Secure the window to the track.
The cables are not adjustable. The regulator is only serviced as an assembly.
jump out of the bedroom window :)
hE FELL out the window
Bad window regulator. The cables are not pulling evenly and it tilts the window.
