I'm guessing you're trying to ring a mobile phone in Australia, country code +61. The trick is, the '0' trunk code at the front of the Australian number isn't really part of the phone number, so you have to drop it for inbound international calls.
In other words, dial 00 61 41 551xxxx.
The reverse also applies: when calling from Australia (or anywhere) to Ireland, you have to drop the '0' from the front of the Irish number and replace it with country code +353.
When you are writing a number in international format with the country code, leave the '0' out entirely. It is incorrect and confusing to write, for example, +353 (0) 1.

English mobile numbers begin with +44 74 through +44 79. On a GSM mobile, enter the number in international format, beginning with the plus sign. Otherwise, replace the plus sign with your international access prefix (most commonly 00, but many countries use other prefixes. Australia uses 0011 and other prefixes.).
