You cannot reformat a hard drive and keep operating system(s) untouched. The point of formatting is to erase all data.
There is only one exception, you can reformat some partitions on your hard drive if you have any. If you want to keep your current operating system those partitions must not be system.
Of course you can reformat and repartition a vista computer. Most of the cases that has come to me is of laptop and in this case one has to keep in mind before formatting/repartition is that the second partition [d:\] contains all the drivers- audio, video, modem etc. one can repartition without formatting also.
Yea just format the harddrive and xp will take over and remove vista
If 'vista' recognizes the existence of the drive, you might have to reformat the former 'xp' drive. Don't think it would be wise to have two complete OS's working on the same PC.
reformat the computer.
battlefield 2142 wasnt designed for vista...and as most games that were made for xp or older versions of windows vista doesnt support most hardware either or the drivers for it best option is to go back to xp nobody that i know uses vista...even if they purchase a vista "ready" machine they just reformat and install a fresh copy of xp ... as it still is much better then vista google it if u doubt it
