This is simple. Open the location that contains your picture. Choose the picture you want and right-click it. The dropdown box that appears will have a selection to "set as desktop background". Click this selection and the dropdown will disappear. The picture should be on your desktop.
Right click on the picture and select set as wallpaper. Alternatively, you can save the picture and then go into your display properties (right click on the desktop) and select it as the picture.
I am not very sure what you mean by that...but if you mean background as in your wallpaper on your desktop, you can use a picture file that you have or you can even draw your own picture if you have any drawing thing like "Paint", save it, and save it on your desktop. :) Hope this helped.

google image search "boxes" and save a suitable picture to your desktop. go to your profile and select change profile picture. upload the picture of the boxes and save it as your profile picture. when you go back to your profile the boxes will show up in the upper left hand corner of your profile.
