You can create a backup copy of your phone book contacts from your Samsung Flight on the phone's microSD card. To manage the contacts and the files on the phone, you need to connect to a computer running Samsung's PC Studio software. The software allows you to connect your phone to your computer and perform a number of management functions, including transferring files to the phone and managing the files on the Flight's SD card. The PC Studio Software can be downloaded from Samsung's website.

Step 1

Press the "Menu" button on the Flight and then touch Settings. Choose Connectivity and then Select USB Mode. Touch Samsung PC Studio and then tap "Save."

Step 2

Connect your computer to the Samsung Flight with a USB cable. The PC Studio software will launch automatically.

Step 3

Click Manage Contacts from the main page of the PC Studio. Click to select the contact you want to copy and then right-click and select Copy. You can copy more than one contact at a time by holding down "Ctrl" on the keyboard as you click the contacts, or select them all by pressing "Ctrl" and "A."

Step 4

Browse to a location on your computer to which you want to copy the contacts using the tree view on the left. Once you've selected the folder, right-click in the list view pane on the right and choose Paste.

Step 5

Right-click the PC Studio icon in the task tray of Windows. Select Manage Files to switch to the file management view.

Step 6

Browse to the location of the contacts saved on the computer using the tree view pane in the lower left. Highlight the contacts that you want to copy, right-click and select Copy. Browse to the location on the Flight's microSD card to which you want to save the contacts, right-click and select Paste.
