What i did was used paper shredding for the bedding, used old cardboard tea boxes and stuff like that for the shelter, and what i did for the fun is i cut up a few old socks and cut to on each side of the cut sock and put it through the holes in the top and tied it together so it had a hammock to play on. i also use old plastic tubes from toilet paper and paper towels. It has saved me SOOO much money.
