Get Bent!-(might be a little off)
nuqneH translates as 'What do you want?'
To clarify the above: nuqneH does loosely translate as "what do you want" (more accurate might be "whaddya want") but it is indeed a greeting. If you literally wanted to ask someone the question "What do you want?", it would be: nuq DaneH?
I'll give you two ways, with loose pronunciation and literal translation:
naDev yIghoS (nahdev yIghoash) -- "Go/come/proceed here"
HIghoS (HIghoash) -- "Go/come/proceed to me."
NOTE: The H is pronounced like the ch in "chutzpah" or "Chanukkah". The I is a short i as in "big" or "hit".
The first one is sometimes shortened into just: naDev ghoS (this is what is known as "clipped Klingon").
It depends on what you mean. If you mean "ok" in the sense of "ok, I will", then it would be: lu'
If you mean "ok" in the sense of "well done" ("Not bad! That was ok!"), then it would be: maj
If you mean "ok" as "so, well" ("ok, let's get back to work.") then it would be: toH
If you mean "ok" as in "pretty good, not bad", it could be: qabbe'
Klingon, as it is a warrior's language, spoken by a race of angry, fighting, fierce, and strong life forms, does not focus on smalltalk, such as simple greetings, like 'good afternoon'. Instead, the closest possible translation is 'nuqneH', meaning 'What do you want?' roughly. The u is long, like in 'unite', the q is like a 'k', but further back in your mouth, and the H is a glottal fricative, such as the 'ch' in the Yiddish 'chutzpah'.
____ 'oH pongwIj'e'.
Thus, "My name is Dave" would be: Dave 'oH pongwIj'e'.
Pronunciation: The 'o' is English long 'o', as in "hope", "go", or "vote". The "I" is short English 'i', as in "big" or "sit". The 'e' is short English 'e', as in "get" or "bed". The 'H' is like the 'ch' sound in the name of the German composer Bach, or in the Yiddish word chutzpah. The 'j' is a hard English 'j', like in "joust" or "jewel"-- never a soft French j, as in bonjour. And finally, the ' is itself a letter. It is a glottal stop, which means you cut the preceeding vowel off short. It is the cutting-off sound in the middle of the word "uh-oh!"
Hello in Klingon would be "nuqneH."
