If you want more of a greeting try:
Hallo, mein Name ist Jen. Wie geht es Ihnen? "Hello my name is Jen. How are you?" (formal form of you)
Or you can say "Ich bin Jen" or "Ich heisse Jen" instead of "Mein Name ist Jen"
