Ookami (the double 'o' means u hold the oh' sound for a fraction longer) is wolf and you can say crescent moon 3 different ways: gengetsu, jougen or mikadzuki. 'No' is basically 'of'; it shows possession so technically the moon 'owns' the wolves that's how u have to look at it. So you say it "Gengetsu no ookami" (gehn-gets noh oh-kah-mee). the 'u' is usually silent in Japanese

True you can say, "kuroguma" but that would be the direct translation from English. The name for black bears in Japanese is, "tsukino waguma". Meaning moon bear, or crescent bear.

三日月 (ni ka get su) is a way to say that, but in its kanji it doesn't exactly refer to the 'crescent shape' of the moon, it just means new moon. If you want the crescent-shaped moon exactly you could use 弦月 (gen get su).
