三日月 (ni ka get su) is a way to say that, but in its kanji it doesn't exactly refer to the 'crescent shape' of the moon, it just means new moon.

If you want the crescent-shaped moon exactly you could use 弦月 (gen get su).

When are you most likely to see a crescent moon?

Well, darling, you're most likely to see a crescent moon shortly after sunset or before sunrise. That's when the moon is positioned at an angle where only a small portion of it is illuminated by the sun, giving it that lovely crescent shape. So, grab a cocktail, sit back, and enjoy the celestial show!

I would think so, the Muslim don't have a patent on the Star and Crescent moon to my knowledge and if it mean something to you then I would do it, I have some symbols of things that I'm not a part of so I would say Yes if it means something to you.

How do you say Wolves of the crescent moon in Japanese?

Ookami (the double 'o' means u hold the oh' sound for a fraction longer) is wolf and you can say crescent moon 3 different ways: gengetsu, jougen or mikadzuki. 'No' is basically 'of'; it shows possession so technically the moon 'owns' the wolves that's how u have to look at it. So you say it "Gengetsu no ookami" (gehn-gets noh oh-kah-mee). the 'u' is usually silent in Japanese
