English: "the diary" = German: "das Tagebuch".
(das) Tagebuch
In Irish diary is "dialann"
Anne does not mention a marching band at any place in the diary. Please keep in mind that this is a category about Anne Frank, the real person, and her diary, not about the stage play "The Diary of Anne Frank", which is extensively fictionalized.
Anne Frank's diary was originally written in her mother tongue which was Dutch, her parents were of German extraction, when her diary was found it was years later that it was translated into different languages.
The Romanian language equivalent of diary is jurnal.
diary = yoman (יומן)
The Diary of a Young Girl describes German soldiers negatively, as oppressors who were responsible for the persecution of Jews during the Holocaust. Anne Frank's diary reveals her fear and hatred towards the German soldiers who enforced the discriminatory laws and committed atrocities against her community.
The Diary of a young girl is Anne Frank's real diary. The last time Anne wrote in her diary was 1 August 1944 and the family was betrayed on 4 August 1944. Anne had no idea that they were going to be betrayed so, she wouldn't have been able to write it in her diary. Outside the diary, the one who informed the German police about them is still unknown and probably always will be.
She wrote it in German, then later it was translated into English and published as a book :)
Anne Frank wrote her diary in Dutch. Though her native language was German she had had all her schooling in the Netherlands.
