How do you say godless in Arabic?

There really is no word in Arabic that corresponds to "godless" in the sense of a general atmosphere or sensibility, i.e. "Look at Europe, its godless now". The closest Arabic comes is Kaafer (كافر) - meaning infidel and Molahed (ملحد) - meaning atheist. Both refer to people, not places. Kaafer is considered pejorative while Molahed is considered undesirable (due to the high average religiousity of Arabs), but it does not come with the same taint as Kaafer does.
