Mwanauma mheshimiwa. Mheshimiwa is the usual honorific for officials of the government, especially members of Parliament. Mheshimiwa Fulani bin Fulani, M.P. It is used in greetings and others forms of direct address too: Habari gani, Mheshimiwa? It is also used in the third person, e.g.: Mheshimiwa atakuja kesho. The honorable [district commisioner, m.p., etc.] will come tomorrow.
