鬼 /o ni/ is a good Japanese equivalent for what you are looking for.
It's pronounced "Rahnpoo" ICarly is correct. Ranpu means lamp in JapaneseRampooThere actually is no word for lamp in Japanese. instead it is said like how you say lamp in English except with a Japanese pronunciation. So it is said with a double U at the end. But Japanese pronounce L like an R so instead of Lampuu it is Rampuu but the double U is hardly pronounced. So technically it is Rampu without the other U. Ignore the iCarly pronunciation. It's horrible.
"Oni da" is a statement declaring that something is an ogre.
Rampu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like a really angry Japanese man;-)
you cant find anywhere its just a plain lamp when they say rampo there just a hiddden wire connected to the lamp and someone behind the camera pushes a button and the lamp turns on. they just keep turning it off and on.
lamp
ramupu or Dentō
It means LAMP in Japanese.
The Japanese word hannya is pronounced : (Hahn-yah) A hannya is a female oni, or a Demonic Ogre.
Ranpu
It could mean 'curse of the ogre', 'demonic curse'.. 'could' as well as it can mean other things. (Oni is Japanese folklore but could roughly be close to ogre, ghost or demon) Unless you are good with this translation, answer me in the discussion page so I can help you get a more precise meaning. (I asked where in Inuyasha series you heard this.)
I saw a movie with a terrifying ogre that lived in a castle.
