Thank you is ahsante, but becomes ahsanteni to more thqn one person. The word familia is used in Swahili, as is the word jamii for family. But in this context ndugu would be a better choice because it means all one's relatives present. Rafiki means friend. The standard olural is also rafiki , unchanged but marafiki is often heard these days. Zangu in the sentence is the possessive adjective "my." applied to the two plurals ndugu and rafiki. If the nouns were singular, the poss. adj. would be yangu.
