check for a hole in gas tank. or seal on top of gas tank or hoses going and coming from tank.

The motion of water will be spherical.
If the hole is very small, you can drain the tank (if it isn't already), and clean the area around the hole. Find a screw or bolt that will fit in the hole. Cover the bottom of the bolts threads with JB Weld and screw it into the hole. Wait about 24 hrs before refilling the tank.

Installing a bulkhead in an acrylic tank is no different from installing a bulkhead in a glass tank. Place the rubber seal over the part that goes inside the tank, slide it through the hole, and screw the nut on in the back.

If it is the hole on the top of the tank towards the front of the truck it is for a fuel return check valve .If you need one , you will have to get it from GM. I was told there is no after market for this part .It cost me 34 dollars Canadian .
