Well, most document programs have some sort of "Print" option. You know, File, Print. (Ex: Microsoft Word, WordPad, notepad). If you're not printing a document that you wrote, it tends to differ. Try right-clicking somewhere and look for the choice "Print..." You can try it on this page, as an example. Click someplace white, and you'll see "Print..." as one of your many options. There isn't a way to "send" something to the printer, I'm afraid. Either you print it or you don't; the printer doesn't save your documents.

How network printers works?

Network printing works like normal printing as far as your document is concerned, but the computer does a little more work. Normally, the computer sends the document to a printer physically plugged in to it and it prints. In this case, the printer isn't plugged in, but is instead on the network, usually connected another computer. The computer printing would send the data over the network to the computer hosting the printer as if the printer were plugged in to the local machine.

A document is sent to the printer through a print command initiated by the user, typically from a computer or mobile device. This command is processed by the operating system, which communicates with the printer driver—software that translates the document into a format the printer can understand. The printer then receives the data via a wired or wireless connection and begins the printing process.

What is the holding area between a printer and computer called?

A user requesting a file to be printed will send the file to a "print spooler," which is a type of buffer that holds print jobs until they are ready to be processed by the printer. From there, the printer will often have a "print buffer" that is fed from the print spooler; as that buffer fills, the printer will begin the process of printing the requested document.
