You can't directly send gold to friends, but here is how you can do it, well, indirectly.
1. Go to your friend's profile page or one of their posts in a forum.
2. Under their picture, there is a little thing that says if they are online or offline. Hover over the carrot next to that. It will show you a dropdown list.
3. Click on trade.
4. Click "Start New Trade"
5. On your side of the box that shows up, where you see your avatar, there should be a thing that says gold with a value of 0. Click on the 0.
6. Input the amount of gold you want to send your friend, type in your password where it tells you to, and click "Offer trade".
7. It will then say "You have offered a new trade." After this, your friend will get a "trade request" in their notifications. When they click on this, they should send a blank trade form. Then, you should both accept the trade and you will have sent gold to your friend.
Long process, yeah, I know, but it is the only way to do it so far. Hope this helps.
