How do you separate the half shaft from the trans axle on 1990 Toyota Corolla Manual says careful use of pry bar but not having much luck?

I'll answer this myself. Use of a thin screwdriver from the passenger side of the transaxle, tap on the end of shaft. Passenger side removed by deft use of bars and hammers.
