Hold the clock/volume knob down for 10 seconds. Continue holding and use the tune buttons. Tune left adjusts hours. Tune right adjusts minutes. Release clock/volume knob to finish.

For a 1968 Cougar with a 302 ci/ 2 bbl carb, you will want to set the timing at 6*B from TDC

I did it I'm pretty sure you hold down the "clock" button until it starts blinking, if not "clock" button try holding down one of the other two but when it start blinking then hit prees then button right above it and when you get it right hit the button below clock button to switch over to min. and adust that too.

The clock on the radio can be set by two buttons found to the right on the display screen. H for hour and M for minute.
Timing is set by the PCM and is not adjustable.

In the '99 - '02 Mercury Cougar, the Anti-Freeze is put directly into the reservoir, and should usually be topped off a bit over the max line so as to not set off the low coolant alarm. Parking on a hill can also set off the sensor even if a high level is maintained.
