Below are the steps to set firefox proxy:
1. Open Mozilla Firefox and on the top left corner click the Firefox menu.
2. Hover over Options, and then select Options from the submenu.
3. Click on the Advanced icon, in the Advanced interface, go to the Network tab.
4. Click the Settings button. This will open the Connection Settings window.
5. Choose Manual proxy configuration. This will allow you to enter information in the fields below.
6. Enter your proxy information. Enter the proxy server that you are connecting to in the "HTTP Proxy" field. If you need to enter a specific port, enter it into the "Port" field.
7. Once done, click the OK button to save the changes.
8. Back on the Options box, click OK again.
9. Restart Mozilla Firefox to allow the changes to take effect.
You can just choose the no proxy option in options-network-conection settings

Well… Generally school districts have Proxy Servers. These Proxy Servers can be changed by going into preferences on Safari or Firefox. Safari is usually a bit tougher, how ever Firefox is usually easy to change. The thing is, if you actually do change the proxy server you can be arrested. So don't try to play RuneScape at school by changing the proxy servers. Also, if you change the Proxy Servers you can watch stuff on youtube, or any other site. I don't recommend doing so though.

Go to Tools - Options - Advanced - Network - Settings. Now click No Proxy. Click OK.
Some trojans may mess with Firefox and IE proxy settings. Alos, make sure your firewall is configured to allow then access.
Mozilla Firefox is grea. Firefox is the best proxy-like alternative to direct internet I've ever seen. im not sure what the graphic user interface is though. You can probably ask Mozilla theirself.
