run engine till hot remove vacum pipe from distributor losen 13m bolt at base of distrubator do not remove rotate distrubtor clock wise rpm should increase if you go to far engine will die road test if motor makes pinking sound move dis back tiny bit this is old school method for people that can tell by ear when an engine sounds sweet other method buy a timing light timing marks located through insepetion hole top of gear box remove bung marks on fly wheel Andy m
