You can set up a password in windows XP by going to the user accounts section of the control panel, clicking on the account you want to set a password up for and then clicking create a password fo this account.
By default, there is no password set for the hidden administrator account on Windows XP. When setting up this account and enabling it, the user must create their own password.
Unless the password is blank, the password has been set by the administrator. If it is your computer and you've tried leaving it blank, you may need to reinstall Windows unless you can remember it.

Basically, you have to reload Windows all over again. There is no known method, afaik, for retrieving a lost general password.
if you mean the user password its simple. start the PC in safe mode and logg in to super admin. change the pasword there. If you have a password on the super user... whell.
