The small hole in the larger gear is the timing mark. The smaller gear should have a dot marking the tooth two left of the shaft key.align this dot to dot the hole pointing to the dot
Timing marks are on the top of the timing gear rear cover. With the cover off, these marks will line up with the timing marks on the intake and exhaust gears when the crankshaft gear timing mark faces down to its mark at the bottom. Good luck!
The cam gear timing marks for a Isuzu 320 V6 are located on the cam sprocket and the timing chain itself. The marks must be aligned with each other to ensure proper initial timing.
where are the timing gear marks on a 1997 chev s10 2.2 located
Where are the timing marks on the cam gear on ford 2.9 engine
it has timing marks on it, look!
The timing mark for the camshaft gear has a line on the cam gear itself and then there is either a line or a dot on the timing belt rear cover. Or this should be your marks. The crank marks are going to be on the timing belt cover.. It should be at 0 but i would also get a manual to make sure you get the belt on correctly. if its off 1 mark it can mess the engine up..good luck.
no
the timing marks are not on crankgear on cam gear Chevy Lumina 3.1 1995 would it be keyway to keyway
Answer If you are reffering to ingition timing I don't think any 2.2 GM engine has a distributer which means no control of Ign timing which mens there may or may not be timing marks----so if you want to adjust timing forget it and if want to hook up a timing light to see if the timing responds to throttle opening just put some chaulk marks in several places on the crank pulley and watch as you rev up the enginethe top gear has a hole in it it must be aligned with the dot on the lower gear there are metal tabs on the tentioner to help align the marks Go to http://www.jasperengines.com/pdf/GM2.2TimingTB.pdf to see timing marks and alignment.Read more: How_do_you_set_the_timing_on_2001_Chevy_cavalier
The timing marks for the cam sprocket on a 98 S10 is on the front. The marks for the crank shaft is on the oil pump gear.
ignition timing marks are on front cover above crank pully. Timing belt marks, above crank gear at 2 o'clock position there is a notch, and top cam gear has hole which lines up with hole in cover with 1\8 drill bit.
