I need to set the timing belt in my car for a Dodge Stratus 1998, that has a 2.5 motor V6.I do have the timing belt already on the car, but it not on the right setting. Please someone help me with this question about setting the timing belt.
If it is a 2.0 or 2.4 you don't ....The timing is controled by the crank and cam sensors and not adjustable....

Timing is handled by the computer, there is no adjustment needed.

Timing is set by the PCM, there is no adjustment.
Its very tricky, buy a Haynes Manual at your auto parts store, the timing is a one tooth difference so be careful, but the manual will self explain how to do it better than I could.
