I have a 2002 intrepid with a 2.7 and i have had to replace water pump several times. Because the timing chain drives the water pump it is a pretty good job to do. I recommend that you go to a local parts house and get you a haynes or chilton manual for a intrepid and look under the timing for your engine and it will give you step by step instructions. You have three colored links on the timing chain and they have to be in certain places for it to be in time. You have two cams on each head so just get you a manual i was able to do mine and it runs great my problem is the water pumps only last about 1 year and i have to do it all over again.a manual is a must on this do it youurselfer. Good luck
It must have a TIMING CHAIN because Gates ( they make timing belts etc. ) does not list a timing belt for a 1997 Dodge Intrepid 3.3 liter V6 engine
There is no need or any way to "time" a 2.7L with a timing light.
inside the front of the engine, driven by the timing belt
the water pump is driven by the timing belt.
where can I find the egr valve on a 2001 dodge intrepid 3.5 liter
Yes
It is important to know what is and it not inside of a car while driving or owning it. Yes, a 1996 Intrepid 3.3 Liter does have a timing chain.
As long as they are the same size and all the plumbing and eletrical line up. A 3.3 liter into a 3.3 liter, for example.
Yes

It's an interference engine. Once timing is gone, expect failures in upper parts.
Can i replace an '01 intrepid 3.2L engine (blown) with a '02 intrepid 3.5L engine if i use the '01 wiring harnass on the 3.5L? Both engines look identicle for the most part, only difference is the plug to the ECM.
