You need to use the component PS3 cable that comes with HD PVR 2 to connect to the PS3 and then use the HDMI to connect it to your HDTV
The HD-PVR does not support VGA out, unfortunately. You will need a component to VGA or HDMI so you can hook it up to your monitor.
The company Hauppauge make HD PVR. It is the world's first high definition video recorder. It can be purchased from electronics stores, and Amazon or Ebay.
No, you don not need one. You'll be able to record, but not playback in HD.
It depends where you reside and and what service provider you are currently with, but most times they have a wide range from $100 for the basic PVR to 300 or 400 $ for really good ones with large built in hard drives.
First, run the coaxial cable from the wall to the PVR. Then, hook the coaxial cable from the PVR directly to the TV. Now take the DVD players RCA or HDMI plug, whichever you use, and hook it up to the television directly.
In short, no, no you cannot. First you will need to install the driver, which requires the software on the disc or provided by the hauppauge website. WinTV is also required in order to record your footage. Admittedly there are a handful of better softwarse out there besides WinTV. But WinTV will be your bread and butter.
HD PVR Or Roxio...
no it only records telus service
For consoles (Xbox 360 and PS3) you have to buy a capture card the most well known (and in price and quality order of lowest to highest) EasyCap ,Dazzle and Hauppauge HD PVR each one records in different quality. If you are just a casual gamer just go for a cheaper option but if you want professional videos go for the HD PVR. As for recording PC gameplay the best way in my opinion is fraps Incase you are curious about the quality each of them record here are some videos Easycap http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zs1FG-GoqAE Dazzle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruEdyL0g6Vc HD PVR http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTtGjVtzSJI
roxio game capture, its not hd but nothing will be pvr quality for under $60
You need a special kit off of the Internet to transfer saved data to a computer. These kits include cables and a software package for the computer. I'm unsure whether or not it can be transferred back though. My advice is to investigate this thoroughly before you even touch your Xbox because the warranty/guarantee requirements are ultra harsh.
If you are trying to view something on youtube, and you are unable to do so, this could be due to not having the appropriate programs downloaded, such as Java. In order to keep things working properly, you can download the video, if possible.
