There is a little pedal on the left side by your foot. If you put your foot under it and raise up that will shift through the gears. You have to hold the clutch in between gears though. The clutch is usually on the left handle bar and looks like the brake. To down shift step down on the pedal while holding the clutch in.
rev first gear out to 10,000rpm, then grab clutch, and shift up
To downshift motorcycle is squeeze the clutch and shift to the next lowest gear, release the clutch.
Most likely a bent shift fork.
check the pressure spring and arm on the end of the shift drum, or the gear lever is not moving far enough (obstruction somewhere)
Between 1st and 2nd gear.
It depends on the motorcycle. Almost all (if not all) motorcycles in mass production now (if they have foot gear change) have the gear change on the left.
If you cannot shift into first gear on a motorcycle, you should not ride one.. So says the spida. But if you must, click down and you are in first. 2,3,4,5 are all up after that. neutral is a fragile click in between 1 & 2.
You shift just like any other motorcycle with a manuel gear box. It is the standard 1 down 4 up or 5 up pattern.
repair stripped motorcycle gear shift
clutch in, press down on the shift lever for first, up for 2-6
First gear down, the next four are pulled up.
you can on most, but it is harder on the transmission than downshifting as speed decreases.
