I actually found a web page that had the original instructions for this rifle. Look for the photo/drawings of the man pumping up the rifle and read the instruction on the right side of the drawings.
See the link below.

Which model. Benjamin made about 20 different models. Also state the condition of the rifle.
Benjamin made a model 1300 air pistol not a air rifle. It would be worth between $130-$155 in VG shape They were made between 1959-1964 They did make a 3100 air rifle... If you have a 1300 rifle then I do not know the value.....

No. It's not designed to shoot them.
It all depends on the make and model. Some are stronger than others. An example is a Benjamin Super Streak can easily shoot 1/4 of a mile and much further.
The model 3100 & 3200 were manufactured between 1958-85. The 3100 is a BB pump rifle.
I am not familiar with this particular model (427) but I am familiar with Benjamin air rifle. If your problem is that there is on Scope rail to mount your scope then I know how to fix it. Crosman airguns owns Benjamin air guns. Crosman offers a special Benjamin barrel clamp that lets you mount a scope to it. See the link below
