Take the shovel to the FAR LEFT of the island, which is Gramma's house on South Main. After you talk to her, shovel her driveway in the mini-game.
Place the shovel near the bottom of the screen (top of the driveway), then click and slide it upward until it fills with snow. Move to the right side and dump the snow, and begin another pass. Try not to leave any small areas behind. After 5 or 6 shovels full, it should be mostly cleared. You have to finish before time runs out (i.e. "before you get too cold").
