To create a "Logoff" shortcut on the desktop create a new shortcut on the desktop and put this line into the "Type the location of the item" box: C:\WINDOWS\system32\logoff.exe
"Log off" logs out the current user, but leaves the computer running. "Turn off" turns the computer's power completely off.
Log off in Gmail is the same thing as sign off. You can click the button the top right containing profile pic. It contains the sign out option.

In the top right corner there is a drop-down menu which has the option "Log off"
Log off will already be on your start menu, on windows 7 there will be a button that says shutdown, next to the button will be an arrow, from there you can select the option to logoff.
To log off of twitter from samsung tab, look at the tool bar in the top corner. There will be a icon that when pressed will show quick account settings. One of the options will be to log out.
It could happen when you log back to your desktop after remotely logging into your desktop and logging off. What happened to me was I logged into my office desktop from home and logged off. Then I came to work and when I logged in to my desktop with dual monitors, I saw the above message on the second monitor. Just shutting down the desktop and restarting worked!

You may want to try this. Right click your mouse anywhere on your desktop. Select "Arrange Icons by" and then make sure that the option to "Show Desktop Icons" is checked. If not check it and they should come back. I don't know WHY Microsoft put this option in their OS but it's there and can cause some problems.
Go to your profile (icon in the bottom right corner). Next press the settings button in the top right hand corner of the screen, it's blue. Scroll down to the bottom of the menu and press the log out button.
