When your excited your adrenaline is going so a good thing to do is drink certain tea's like camomile's which have relaxing and calming properties, good for children on Christmas Eve! Or watch a good film to get your mind of it. Just lye down close your eyes and think of a creative story soon you will drift off to a nice calm sleep.

count backward from 100! (if you can do it too easily count back from 300 by 3s)

If you want to sleep without those pills. - Try to darken youre room (so it must be very dark or at least dark) - try to close youre door and windows - If you have stress, try to sleep an hour earlier. - try to drink much water trough the day. - Do not stress much, sign in for some cursus or something that you like that will attract youre attention and let you forget the stress. - try to sleep without a pillow (this will let you without sleep the first night, but the next you will sleep good and feel much better) - try to drink something warm (not coffee!) in the morning and try to have a good breakfast - It is very important to sleep 6 or 8 hours a day.... this does not mean that you can only sleep in the night. (you can also sleep 5 in the night and in the day 2 or 3 hours)
