When your excited your adrenaline is going so a good thing to do is drink certain tea's like camomile's which have relaxing and calming properties, good for children on Christmas Eve! Or watch a good film to get your mind of it. Just lye down close your eyes and think of a creative story soon you will drift off to a nice calm sleep.

If you can't sleep because of nerves, there are a few things that might help:

  • Take a hot bath to relax your muscles.
  • Drink a cup of chamomile tea.
  • Read a book or watch a TV show that is light-hearted and comedic.
  • Listen to soothing music, or use a white noise machine.
  • Write down what's bothering you. Make a list, and include every single thing that's on your mind.
  • If all else fails, try taking some Benadryl, or another light sleep aid, to help you fall asleep.
