Take a belt or a cane and spank them. I would actually say don't just snatch them up and go at it. I would sit him or her down and discuss the situation. At 12 a child should be able to understand why the punishment came about. Discuss consequence for our actions, good or bad. ∙ 14y agoBy the time your children are 12, it is more inadvisable to spank them. By then, they're minds are wired so much already that its difficult to change their behaviours. If you still feel you need to, same as always.
