First you will need a mature male and female that have been fed and housed very well to bring them into breeding condition. The tank size should be at least 18"x10"x10". The water should be heated to around 78F to 80F., have a pH of around pH6.8 and be medium soft. A permanently running fully cycled filter is essential. The tank should contain at least some floating plants and be covered. The pair are introduced to the tank. The male should show off and then start building his bubble nest. Eventually he will get the female under the nest where he will embrace her and she will release a few ova (eggs) which he will fertilise in the embrace. They will drift apart and he will then pick up the ova and blow them into the nest. This procedure will continue until the female is spawned out. He will then chase her away and will kill her if she is not removed. He will then look after the eggs as they develop and turn into tiny fry. Once the fry are free swimming he is likely to eat them so he should then be removed.
Yes they will.
Fish and Aquariams
No. A male Betta is needed to spawn out the female and fertilise her eggs.
their life spawn is 2 years
Depends on what kind of fish you have, betta fish can have up to 150 eggs and only 90% are born.
If you can get a female of the same type as the male you have, that is best, but any female Betta will spawn with any male Betta provided they have the correct conditions and are both ready to breed.
he is unaware that you just let a another fish in and wants to attack her for his territory, but if he starts making a bubble nest that means he is ready to spawn(mate) so put her in
No betta fish are carnivores.
other Betta fish and the bigger fish.
Betta fish do not eat fish.
Well, if you love your Betta fish, then it should live by itself. But if you add another Betta to your current Betta fish's tank, then they will start a fight because Betta Fish are Siamese fighting fish and if one Betta is in contact of another Betta, the possible reason would be a fight between them two.
A betta is a fish of the species Betta, especially Betta splendens, commonly known as the Siamese fighting fish.
