get a flat screwdriver and wedge it in as far as possible with your hand then take a metal hammer and hit it as hard as you can, if the screwdriver wont work then just hit around the case with a hammer/ sledge hammer
I don't know who wrote this, but never hammer a screwdriver into your case!
get a plastic hammer, and a heatgun (electric) heat up the case around the outgoing crankshaft and other shafts, then gently tap the shafts, it should split quite easily if you are patient

Ive ran into this problem. It could be one of two problems, but what i have that it could be a bad crank seal or there is a crack in the case. First check the crank seal if it is good then you need to split the case and find the crack. JB Weld will fix it right up.

There is no oil in the crank case,,you use mixed gas and oil that's what lubes the crank bearings and piston rings.
