Well if you are considering spraining your ankles i hope you don't take my advice, but then again someone has to win Darwin awards. To sprain an ankle easily at home can be quite the task if you are athletic, but I have a hunch you aren't. The key is to step on a firm enough object to support your weight. A common misconception is that a banana is a wonderful source for sprained ankles but this is incorrect. However a good way to break a hip but as for ankles they are able to stand up to the task. The best and cheapest way is to place tennis balls in a room and jump around while in your moms 3 inch heels until you can jump no more.

Jumping off something and landing with your foot in an awkward postion might result in a sprained ankle, but it could also result in a more serious injury or no injury at all. Before trying to injure yourself intentionally, you should consider that an injury is going to be painful, limit what you will be able to do, cause a trip to a doctor (never fun), require an x-ray (radiation exposure), and weaken the area of the injury resulting in possible problems later in life.

No matter what the reason is for thinking about injuring yourself intentionally, there are always less painful and wiser ways of dealing with the situation.

There are many ways to sprain your ankle. One common way is falling on it or twisting it the wrong way while playing a sport.
