I took off the front headlight cover. (4 screws in the fairing facing the seat) Then you can see the ignition. The electrical cover using #10 security torx, (a torx with pin inside it.) If you remove that the ignition assembly can be disconnected from the electrical, careful some small parts you will need after. come out but not super small.

Now to remove the ignition it self there is one nut top that holds the ignition plastic cover 10 mm (hard to get to and it will drop and you wont find it!) Remove plastic ignition cover. Don't need to remove the black cover but you can no worries. Now the two bolts that hold the ignition set up are one way phillips secutiy bolts. Not real good aluminum. Use a 7/32 metal drill and drill in it centered about 1/8 th inch. This is not hard, you have to pull the fairing away a bit. Next take a 15 standard torx and put it into a variable bit screwdriver and light pound it into the bolt. Now unscrew the bolt.

the bit will have to be pull out of the bolt but you can now install and remove at will. New ignition set it $50. OR you can take the cylinder to a REAL good locksmith and he can pop the round cylinder retainer and POSSIBLE rebuid the lock. I just pulled mine and keep ONE functioning tumbler. So only one of the cuts on the key turn it. NO ONE has that cylinder to replace it. I also replace the security #10 torx's when I reassemblied.
