hi to start your toro824xl you citations the choke you prime it5 or 6 times make sure Irwin a toward speed speed you can plug it in. Then plug intercession cord 3 prong bandit the starter button then slowly close the choke all the way across. You should be able to start it right up,zsnake69@aol.com
