I've been doing ancestry research for about a year. I made a free account on ancestry.com to build up my tree before I paid for a subscription, and now pay about $20 per month for access to their database. It will keep you busy for awhile, but if you get stuck they give you the option of hiring an expert. Happy hunting!

Descendants can find out about their ancestors by researching family records, such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, as well as census records, military records, and Immigration records. They can also conduct DNA testing to trace their lineage and connect with potential relatives. Additionally, talking to older family members and exploring oral histories can provide valuable information about ancestors.

Who are your descendants?

AnswerNo. A descendant comes after you. An ancestor comes before you. So your great grandfather is your ancestor, and your son or daughter is your descendant.AnswerYour ancestor cannot be your descendant. However, all ancestors are someone's descendants - they are all children, grandchildren, etc. of people who lived before them. And most descendants will become ancestors - they will have children, grandchildren, etc.
