The float may be sticking or the needle valves are not sitting right. If you don't want to pay someone to clean your "carbs" for you just run some sea foam through the gas and see if that helps, or try feathering the throttle before and after you turn it off while watching for the gas to stop. I've been riding for 16 years and have come across this in almost every bike I've ridden and this was what I did to correct it. This is my opinion, so talk to a repair man also.
Fuel capacity is 4.2 gallons.
13.62 litres (3.60 gallons)
Kawasaki didn't sell anything under the Vulcan name until 1984. Perhaps you have something earlier, or your bike is younger than you think?
Follow the fuel line from the fuel tank and you will find the filter.
Yes , the 3.0 liter " Vulcan " V6 engine ( and its flex fuel version ) and the 3.0 liter " Duratec " DOHC , V6 engine are fuel injected
I'm pretty sure it does. I own a 1995 Vulcan and I bought a 2003 tank and looked at the mounting brackets and fuel connections all looked to be the same - but don't put this in stone. I haven't been able to put it on yet because it's still out being painted. There should be no difference in the fuel tank mounts from 1996-1005, but as always, check with a professional if this information is critical.
check the fuel pump or the fuel lines or the fuel switch vavle
MAKE SURE TO ADD "FRESH" GASOLINE TO THE FUEL TANK AND MAKE SURE IT IS ENTERING THE CARB.
Unleaded fuel was introduced in the mid 1980s, it depends what engine it has, if it needs leaded fuel you will need a new engine
Yes , both the 3.0 litre " Vulcan " V6 engine and the 3.0 litre " Duratec " V6 engine in a 1998 Mercury Sable are fuel injected
What is the fuel mix for my Kawasaki KT12ADV micromo
