This can be difficult, you must 'potty train' the horse. Some horses will not do it no matter what and you'll just have to live with it. However you can try to train them through positive reinforcement, such as clicker training. You'll need to spend several days with the horse. Begin by introducing the clicker to the horse, make the clicking noise and give a treat, this reinforces that the clicker is a good thing. Then when you see the horse begin to go potty either try to move him away from the shed or refuse to give him a treat. When the horse goes outside, click the clicker and give a treat and a pat, do this each time the horse goes to the bathroom outside. It can take days or weeks for it to become reinforced, but it can be done. If this does not work, then try spreading the horses hay around the shed, as most horses will not poop where they eat, if he poops on his hay, then he likely will not care nor pay attention to any type of potty training.
Well if the horse is owned by a human then they typically live in a stable or barn which contains stalls for them. Some horses may live in a pasture all the time and have a three sided horse shed to live in.
Well, if living in a pasture, they need a well made, sturdy shed for shelter. There are many horse sites to answer other questions related to this also.

A horse may shed lightly if the temperature rises high enough, but a horse will mostly shed when winter turns into spring. If if the temperature drastically changes more than once a year, then a horse may shed more than once.

They actually shed they're skin as a whole
Well that depends on where a horse lives and who is taking care of it. Generally speaking a horse should have at least 1 acre of pasture to run around in and either a run in shed or a stall to get out of the weather. Horses drink about 12 and a half gallons of water a day so water should always be available to them and how much hay and grain they eat depends on what kind of horse it is and what sort of work it's doing.
Yes.
